Use ems when Designing a Stretchable Elastic Website
This is an addition to an article I recently wrote, titled CSS - Create a Stretchable Elastic Website with Absolute Positioning. And once again, as in the previous article, this is intended for the beginning designer.
After designing a number of elastic, or fluid websites, I have come to the conclusion that using ems for sizing text is the best way to go. If you change the size of the reference font, (the browser's default font size), the font...

1. Avoid creating menu on the left-hand side of a website
. If unavoidable, an alternative way is to put some text with
rich keywords at the top or above the left-hand menu so that
this text will be the first thing to read by search engines.
2. Headlines are rated more important than the rest of the
web page by search engines . To take advantage of this, you
should have your keywords in the page headline. Since the header
tag (h1) is quite large, you should format it to make it
smaller.

Browser "Safe" Fonts By Shruti Gupta
Fonts make a big difference to the look and experience of the
website. Usage of fonts requires sense of aesthetics and
discretion. We have the liberty to use any font we want in an
image but when we specify the fonts for the text on a web page,
we need to ensure that we use only 'browser safe" fonts.
Browsers support TrueType fonts and all operating systems come
with sets of standard TrueType fonts that have been
preinstalled. These preinstalled TrueType font...

In the good old days of the web tables were an essential requirement for creating a webpage. The first thing in laying out a webpage was to create a table. Table was then further divided into cells. Using different combinations of border and shading a number of effects could be created. But the tales and cells also created confusion and messy websites. You may not bother with html validation or writing simple and
clean code when designing your web site. Later you may find your
site is slow loading, appears incorrectly in the main browsers

Do use a consistent look and
feel Your site should stand out as a whole. Use
the same look and feel for all the pages at your site. This way
your visitors have a sense of recognition when they visit
various pages. Using stylesheets makes it much easier to

Don't use dark
backgrounds Dark backgrounds tend to make text
less readable. So avoid dark colors or dark backgroundimages. If

must not discriminate against disabled people. A website is
regarded as a service and therefore comes under this law.
Some organisations are changing to their websites, but many are
seemingly not making the adjustments. Disabled people don't
access their website, they say, so why should they care?
There are, however, two very good reasons as to why businesses
should start taking these issues seriously:

company, as long as the concept is still the same. The simpler
the design, the better. With the evolution of graphic designs
came the use of more complex designs to create and to choose
from. Special effects are now being used in answer to the
